Please find the timings of a normal day at St Joseph’s below in our school timetable.
At school, our catering team consists of Mrs Gee, Mrs Phillipson and Ms Atkins. School lunches come from “Catering Leeds” and are cooked off site. They are then transported to school in time for lunches where our catering team work hard to prepare the dinner hall ready for lunch time, which begins at 11.45am for our youngest members of the school. Universal Free School Meals
All children in reception, year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools in England receive free school meals. This means that in our school, all pupils in our FS2 class, Year 1 and Year 2 classes receive free school meals.
Costs for School Meals Y3-Y6
Once your child is in Year 3, they can continue to have dinners in school provided by Catering Leeds. The cost of a child’s lunch is £2.45. Therefore, one week of school dinners for 1 child is £12.95.
Could you be entitled to Free School Meals for your child?
Please see the Leeds City Council site for details – http://www.leeds.gov.uk/residents/Pages/FreeSchoolMeals.aspx
Special Dietary Requirements
If your child has special dietary requirements, you will be asked to fill in a form that will be sent to Catering Leeds.
What happens on a school trip?
If your child’s class teacher arranges a school trip, your child will receive a packed lunch in a ‘grab bag’ from Catering Leeds. Your class teacher will arrange this for your child by letting the catering team in school know who then orders the packed lunches from Catering Leeds.
Your child chooses their meals 1 week in advance. A menu is sent round to your child’s class where they indicate their preference for the days when they have school dinners. This has to be done in advance as the order is then sent to Catering Leeds ready for the next week of school dinners.
