Hi Year 3 and welcome to your brand new section of our home learning page! This page is for you to see what each other have been up to. I know lots of you are already keeping in touch which is fantastic and lovely to hear! Hopefully, this page might even inspire you to try something new. This page is to shout out to those children that have wowed me – be it with a project, piece of work, their attitude or even something kind they have done at home! If you think you have something in particular that could be shared with the rest of Year 3 or something you are proud of, please send me a message on Showbie and I can pop it on here! I miss your smiles. Keep smiling every day! I’m immensely proud of you all.
What have Year 3 been up to?
Shout out to Alfred who has written this fantastic setting description from the Tin Forest book. He has worked incredibly hard at including expanded noun phrases to bring the setting alive. Alfred chose to complete this task on the computer. Well done! Has this inspired you to do the same?
Shout out to William who has been working scientifically, to investigate how shadows are formed and how the size of them can change. He wrote his scientific reasoning to explain how the size of shadows can change very clearly. Well done William!

Shout out to Emilia who has consistently been putting 100% effort into everything she does. The Year 3 team loved reading her beautifully written letter which included expanded noun phrases, adverbs and prepositions. Well done! You super star.

Shout out to this super star who has set up her own ‘Poodle palour’ to practise counting and handling money. What a super idea! It looks like you had a lot of fun playing shop. We are so proud of you using and applying your maths skills in practical, fun ways.
Shout out to Jude who has been working incredibly hard on his writing. He wrote a fantastic story and made sure he followed the top tips to include expanded noun phrases and adverbs. Well done Jude you should be very proud of yourself.
Shout out to Ava who has been working incredibly hard planning and writing her own story based on the Tinforest. Ava chose to type her story and also edited to improve it too. She thought very carefully about making her story interesting to the reader and also worked hard on including speech marks too. Well done Ava you should be very proud of yourself.
Shout out to Charlotte who has been working incredibly hard to write her own acrostic poem about the rainforest. Charlotte included some beautiful alliteration to describe the animals, such as, slithering snakes sliding on branches. Well done Charlotte, we loved reading your poem, you should be very proud of yourself!
Shout out to Joseph CH who has got off to a flying start on his new Geography topic about the Rainforests. Once he completed a word search Joseph then created a glossary to explain the meaning of each word. Well done Joe! We are so proud of your learning.
Shout out to Dexter who has demonstrated super working scientifically skills to investigate how the size of shadows can change. He used an applied his maths skills to show his results in a bar chart too. Well done Dexter! What a super scientist you are!
Shout out to Rufus who has been working incredibly hard and putting in 100% effort with all his learning. He used and applied his maths skills to answer question about the climate of the Amazon rainforest and explained his reasoning. Well done Rufus, you are a super star!

Shout out to this super fact finder! He chose his favourite animal from the rainforest and then wrote lots of facts about it. I certainly found out lots of information about leopards I never knew before. Well done! What a brilliant picture too.
