L.O. To use adjectives to describe.

In English we will be focusing on adjectives for today’s lesson. Once you have watched the tutorial, I would like you to think of as many adjectives as you can to describe the picture in the video (please find it below as well). Remember, adjectives describe things and add extra detail! Last half term we used adjectives to describe the crocodile in Peter Pan so now it is time to apply that learning to something else.

PE

Wednesday Third session- PM

L.O. To practice our shooting skills.

Our topic in PE this half term is football! There are many skills we are going to practice that are needed to be a successful footballer. The first skill we are going to focus on is shooting. The first important thing you need to know is which foot are you more confident kicking a ball with! To find out, start moving around a space with the ball, moving it between feet and see which one is more comfortable.

Once you know, its time for a penalty shoot out! Start by facing the goal (you can make the goal out of anything e.g. coats, cones, balls etc). Then take a run up (not too big though) towards the ball and give it a big kick! Why not have a go at 10 shots and see how many out of 10 you can get in the goal. To challenge yourself, ask someone to go in goal as the goalkeeper or ask someone to be a defender and try and tackle you before you have a shot!

RE

Wednesday Fourth session- PM

L.O. To reflect on what it means to be part of a family.

In RE, we are starting our Families and Celebrations topic. First, watch the tutorial so you are ready to start the activity. Below, you will find the activity I would like you to have a go at. Want an extra challenge and to extend yourself? You could write the people who are in your family and why they are important to you using full sentences and the word ‘because’.

L.O. To investigate materials.

Before you start this activity, please watch the YouTube tutorial all about materials and how they can be changed. Once you have watched this, try and collect the materials that are asked for in the table on the activity e.g. rubber, elastic band etc. When you have collected your materials, it is time to investigate! Look at the titles of the columns e.g, bend, twist and see how you can change this solid materials. If you can do any of the things asked, put a tick in the box but if it cannot be changed, put a cross.

Extra challenge: Keep a tally chart of all of the things that could be bent or stretched etc and let me know via Showbie how many could be changed by these!

PSHE

Friday Third session- PM

L.O. To talk about and share our worries.

It is so important, now more than ever, that we are there for each other and support each other through these unusual times. That’s why our Worry Monster will be making a reappearance for our PSHE lesson today! I would like you to take this time to reflect on how you’re feeling and why you might be feeling that emotion. Any emotion you might be feeling is absolutely okay and everything you feel is so valid. It’s so important to keep talking and that’s why our class worry monster will be joining us on Showbie as someone to listen to your worries. You could either type or write any worries you might be feeling and I will put them into the Worry Monster’s mouth and he will look after it for you. It is completely optional and up to you if you wish to share anything but always remember I am a safe place for you to share anything on your mind at any time x

Geography

Friday Fourth session- PM

Our topic in Geography this half term is the UK and the surrounding seas. We will begin our topic by looking at the country we are living in now, England! I would like you to research on your ipad, laptop, computer or tablet and find out some information about England. Can you find out how many people live here? The capital city? Key tourist attractions? The saint? So many facts to look for! When you have found some facts, I would like you to make a poster of 4 of your favourite facts about England. Write your facts down and then draw a picture next to each fact. You could split your page into 4 and do a fact and drawing in each box. Can’t wait to see your work!
