What have the staff at St Joseph’s been up to?

Mrs Hodgson

Hello everyone

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

I have been enjoying spending time with my new puppy Thea. She is black Labrador who is now approaching 4 months old. When I’m not in school with Year 6,  I’m making time to be active by walking, running and practising yoga.

Take care and keep smiling until I see you all again!

Miss Ozsoy

Hello everybody,

I hope you are all okay. I miss seeing all your faces! I’ve really enjoyed looking on the shout out page and seeing the amazing things you have all been up too.

Some of you have heard about my cat Apache so I thought I’d share a photo of him that I took when I went to visit my sister in her garden. He loves being outside in the sunshine, chasing his toy mouse and pinching the meat from the BBQ! Cheeky boy! Apache looks a lot like Mrs Cooper’s cat don’t you think?!

I’m sending my love to you all, I hope you are all outside in the sun and spending time with your lovely families.

See you all soon.

Mrs Ward

Hello children. I just wanted to give you on update on something I have been doing at home during lockdown when I’m not in school with my own Y6 class who are back in school now. I have been growing some plants and I’m very proud as they need daily care, especially when it’s hot and dry. Aren’t they pretty?

I’ve also been trying to grow some grass in some bald patches on the edges of the lawn; it’s almost worked but when I watered it, the little seeds jumped off the edge and into the borders too so now I have lots of new grass growing in the soil where it shouldn’t be!

Lots of love from Mrs Ward xx

Miss Hazar

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well at home. I have been busy spending time in the kitchen doing lots of baking. This is one of the cakes I have made for my sister and my Dad which they loved.

Take care and I am looking forward to seeing you all again soon!

Mrs Skilbeck

Hello everybody,

I miss seeing you all! It has been wonderful to hear about all the amazing things you have been doing!

I have been spending lots of time in the garden and learning how to grow new plants from cuttings from plants I have already. This has not been successful but I will keep trying! I have made a pond and I love seeing what wildlife has come to visit.

I have done some baking and lots of cooking too! I have even finally been able to see my two grandchildren and give them lots of hugs!

Take care, looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Lots of love Mrs Skilbeck x

Mrs Cooper

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing okay. I miss you all so much. I have been very busy filming exercise videos for my fitness classes. I have also been looking after my pets and they have been helping me with parcels, as you can see! They were not very helpful!

I am looking forward to seeing you all again soon and hearing all about what you have been doing.

Lots of love, Mrs Cooper xx

Mrs Boyes

A big hello to you all!

I miss seeing all your lovely smiling faces and hearing about what you’ve been up to. I love looking on the shout out pages to see all of the fantastic things you’re doing! I bet you’ve all grown so much! I’ve been busy walking my dogs, Sasha and Amber. We’ve been walking on the old railway and had lots of fun down near the river. They’ve loved going in the water for a swim when it’s been too hot. I’ve also been doing lots of jigsaws and even started knitting!

I’m really enjoying baking, especially butterfly buns as you can see. These are the ones I took into school for your teachers.

Hope you’re all staying safe and enjoying having time with your families. Keep safe and take care. Hopefully see you soon!

Mrs Gee

Hello!

I am missing all of your smiling faces.

I have been knitting and sewing crafts to put on the craft tree in my garden. I keep putting new items on it so when the village children go for their walk they see what has been added. It is now a competition to see who can spot the new craft first!

Love to you all

Mrs Gee x

Mrs Gray

Hello everyone

I hope you are all keeping safe

I am missing not being at school with you all but I am thinking about the fun we have had and all of your smiley faces. I have enjoyed going on walks in the sunshine down the railway and around the Ings and Score Bank. It was lovely to see bluebells and all the trees in blossom.

Take care and keep smiling until I see you again!

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the sunshine.   I have been keeping busy doing lots of gardening and walking my dog Benson.  He is definitely enjoying me being at home.

I really do miss all your smiley faces and I especially miss your enthusiasm and excitement to get into school when I open the school gates in the morning!

A big hello to all the wonderful pupils at St Joseph’s!

I am really missing all your big smiley faces and seeing you every day. Year 5 have been putting a big smile on my face though as they continue their fantastic efforts with their learning at home.

At the weekends, I am enjoying long walks with Dexter, reading lots of books and have started going out for bike rides too. I have also been trying to stay fit and healthy and have been enjoying yoga and Joe Wicks workouts as well as cooking more! So far, the new things I have tried have been a honey roasted gammon, a piri piri chicken & sweet potato dish and a new beef casserole – all were delicious!!

I hope you and your families are all well and safe at home. I am praying every day for you all and looking forward to being together again when we can.

God bless and take care,

Love from Miss Waite xx

I hope you’re keeping well and staying safe with your families.

I have been enjoying spending time with my family and we have been going out for walks in the local area and also getting out on some great bike rides.  It’s really made me appreciate how lovely our surrounding area is!

Missing you lots and I’m looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces once we’re back together in school.

Take care, love from Mrs Riordan

Mrs LB

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and enjoying time with your families.

I have been in school working with some of our key worker children. I decided to paint a Mayan Mask with the Year 5 children as part of their online learning task. I hope you like it!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Mrs Ward

Hello everyone! I’m missing seeing your smiley faces everyday. I am keeping busy on the weekend with things like gardening, decorating, pilates and baking. Recently, we had a ‘celebrating life’ day with my daughters and made brownies. It’s only the second time we’ve made them and every time I have forgotten to add something until the last minute. They still tasted great. I’ll persevere! Yum…

I’ve also been home schooling my dog, Henry, to do new tricks. Doesn’t he look clever?

Stay safe! With love from Mrs Ward xx

Mrs Frost

Hi everybody!

I am desperate to see how much you have all grown. I’m sure you are all so tall now (as long as you’re not taller than me). I have been enjoying lots of walks every day with Murphy instead of stuffing my face with my chocolates!

I hope you are all well and keeping safe and having lots of fun with your family.

Lots of love Mrs Frost xx

Mrs Lowe

Hello everyone.

I’m missing you all like mad! I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces again soon. I hear you’ve all been working hard on your school work at home and I hope you’ve been keeping up with your daily exercise too! What superstars you all are!

I’ve been enjoying the sunshine and keeping our garden pond clean and tidy for our goldfish, Rico. I’m looking forward to the beautiful water lilies flowering soon.

Stay safe everyone. See you soon.

Love from Mrs Lowe xx

Mr Frost

A big hello to all St Joseph’s pupils!

I have been busy looking after your school and its grounds but I have also been very busy in my job as a Sergeant in West Yorkshire Police keeping everybody safe.

I hope you are all having fun.

Stay safe! Mr Frost

Mrs Harris

Dotty and I would like to say hello to you all!

We hope you are keeping healthy and exercising each day just as we have been. I’m missing you all very much and am looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Take care, Mrs Harris x

Mrs Prestwich

Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope you are all safe, well and happy. I’m really missing you and your smiling faces.

I’m looking forward to hearing what you’ve all been up to. I’ve been helping my children with their school work: we’ve set up ‘school’ in the dining room! We also go for a walk or cycle every day and then they talk to their friends on the Xbox whilst I do some gardening. I’ve been growing some seeds, so I must remember to keep watering them! Take care, and hopefully see you soon.

Mr Cooper

Hey everyone,

I’m missing you all so much, especially our PE lessons!

I have been keeping very busy and active by doing lots of well needed decorating and DIY at home. Even better, I have been doing lots of exercise and have managed to raise over £1000 for St Gemma’s Hospice with my football team. I can’t wait to set you some more PE challenges and see how you all get on. Take care and see you all again soon!

Lots of Love, Mr Cooper x

Mrs Reddiex

Hello to one and all!

I hope that everyone is keeping happy and well. I have been busy keeping in touch with my family and friends through calls and quizzes. My quiz team is called the Red Hot Reddiex’s but despite the name, we have yet to win! I always find that chocolates help me to think better.

Keep playing, learning and having fun!

Love, Mrs Reddiex x😎

Mrs Bailey

Hello everyone,

I am really missing seeing our wonderful pupils and their families and also my amazing colleagues. We have been enjoying lots of bike rides and sweet treats made by my daughter during quarantine.

Take care and stay safe!

Mrs Bailey x

Miss Milivojevic

Hello everyone,

We have loved hearing from you all and keeping in touch with you. You have all been very busy and it has been a pleasure to see the many things you have been getting up to. I have been learning to cook and my latest achievement is mastering home made Yorkshire Puddings! They didn’t last long in our house!
Keep your news and messages coming!

Take care, Miss Milivojevic x

Ms Crolla

Hello everyone!

I have been trying to keep fit by doing Joe Wicks exercises and going on walks with my children. We were impressed by a carpet of spring bluebells in our local woodland. We have been giving our pet rabbits lots of cuddles in the garden and they have been eating up all the dandelions. During the warm bank holiday, we even went camping in our back garden, though I was glad to get back to my bed the next day!

Stay safe and have fun!

Ms Crolla

Miss Collier

Hello all the children at St Joseph’s,

I hope you are all well at home. I am hugely missing being in school and seeing you all each day!
I have been enjoying walks in the sunshine with my dog, Betty, who is loving me being at home a lot more.

Hi everyone!

We have celebrated Hugo’s 3rd Birthday at home this weekend and have also been trying to teach Hugo how to use the scooter! Wilf is getting cheekier every day! We have been enjoying our daily exercise walking our dog, Scholsey.

Hope you are all staying safe and having fun at home.

Miss Mac

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all well! Miss seeing all of your smiling faces everyday.

I have been doing lots of running during this time! I have completed the 5k challenge where you need to run 5k and then donate £5 to the NHS to support them during this time. I was hiding my face because of how red I was!! Hope you’re getting outside and moving too!
