St Joseph’s Approach to EYFS

Admission to Nursery Class Foundation Stage 1

Our nursery has 26 places offering flexible nursery provision from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. These sessions are led by a fully qualified teacher and nursery assistant. Our onsite breakfast club gives further flexibility as childcare can be provided from 7:30am each day.

All of our parents and carers are entitled to 15 hours, government funded child care for 3 year olds. You may also be entitled to an additional 15 hours, (30 hours) free childcare. Please click here to find out more and to find out if you are eligible for free childcare. Parents/carers who are not eligible, can speak directly to the school office to apply for any additional hours privately.

Additional Information

For nursery (FS1), the initial admission round is a September intake each year for a possible 26 places with up to 30 hours. If the 26 places are not filled, we would then plan a January intake for those who have turned 3 between the September – end of December. If the 26 places are still not filled, we would then plan an Easter intake for those who turned 3 years old between January – end of March. Parents can apply for any combination of hours up to 30 hours.

For more details regarding our nursery provision, please contact the school office, who will be more than happy to help.
