Parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response include those who work in health and social care and in other key sectors outlined by the Government. Many parents working in these sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home and every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.

Please see below information from St Gemma's Hospice:

We also have support from Catholic Care - please contact us via the school email if you would like to speak to Miss Milivojevic (Head Teacher), a designated safeguarding lead or your child's class teacher.

School is now closed…except for those children of critical key workers and where is it absolutely necessary for these children to be in school. Children and families should remain at home until further notice.

Welcome from the Head Teacher     ofsted

40mm-cross-with-textOn behalf of all staff and governors I would like to welcome you to our school website.

St Joseph’s is a vibrant Catholic school where each child is a valued and committed member of our Christian community. Each child brings a unique contribution to our school and we work hard to ensure they have the best possible start in life. Our children are at the heart of every decision we make and we are fully committed to meeting the needs of each and every child in order for them to achieve their full potential.

Central to this is the guidance we draw from our school ethos where Christian values are experienced through our daily lives and relationships, through prayer, worship and celebration. As a Catholic school, our fundamental mission is to live by the Gospel values of love, peace, hope and faith.

We are proud of our creative curriculum which provides a rich and exciting stimulus, where high quality opportunities take into account the interests and experiences of our children. Through personalised learning within a safe and happy environment, each child can develop their skills and celebrate their talents.

Our children work hard and we are delighted with their academic achievements. We also pride ourselves in developing the whole child. We work together to allow children to develop themselves socially, morally and spiritually and to celebrate their unique and individual qualities.

We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child’s education and value your interest and support.

Our website aims to give you a taster of what St Joseph’s is all about along with useful and important information. Our class pages are updated regularly with parent newsletters, learning journeys, along with some really useful suggestions of how to help at home.

I hope you find your visit to our school website useful. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information or would like to come and visit us here at St Joseph’s.

Thank you for your continued support
