St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School - Wetherby
Welcome From The Head Teacher
Head Teacher's Statement
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to St. Joseph's website.
The information in this website is designed to give you as much information as possible about the many activities and opportunities, which take place in our exciting school. Our aim, quite simply is to do the very best for children and recognise their individuality and uniqueness. Childhood is a very special and wonderful time and no one gets a second chance at it.
We are very conscious that education is a partnership between home and school. We believe children are happiest and learn more effectively when there is a strong partnership between home and school. We also wish to strengthen our links with our parish and local community.
We are always delighted to see you and we trust that with your help your child will be a happy, well-educated and cherished member of our school.
Best wishes!
Stephen Nicholson

School Improvements
Phase two and three of the building development programme have now been completed. Phase two included the extension to the hall with a separate room with catering facilites and a disabled access toilet. Further furniture and equipment for this area will be purchased in the coming months. This space is already being utilised by the Before and After School Club, it has provided additional room for Mass, and proved invaluable during the recent model making project. There are lots of exciting ideas about how to use this space in the future.
Phase three has involved the remodelling of the school office in order to improve the schools security and thus the safeguarding of our children. A new service counter has been inserted which enables parents to communitcate more effectively with Mrs Goodby, the schools business manager. |
